Junior Miss Pageant

  1. There is no restriction on residency for contestants in order to compete. Winners are required to attend the events outlined in #11. See Below.
  2. Contestants must compete in the age group which they fall on the date of the pageant. No exceptions will be made.
  3. Contestants will be judged in pageant wear on personality, attire, poise, and overall appearance. The contestants with the top 5 scores following the modeling competition will answer a spontaneous on-stage question. Junior Miss contestants will participate in opening number with Miss contestants, personality wear and evening gown. Junior Miss contestants with the top 5 scores following the modeling competition will answer a spontaneous on-stage question as well.
  4. One chaperone will be admitted to the pageant with each contestant, while other supporters must pay an admittance fee at the gate. One person may accompany the contestant backstage for the Tiny Miss and Little Miss groups only.
  5. Registration will be available starting June 15, 2024. Application packets will be available on the fair website at warrencountyfair.com, at the Warren County Fair Office during scheduled registration times, or as requested by emailing misswarrencountyfair@gmail.com. Applications must be submitted through the website, in person during scheduled registration times, or by mail to P.O. Box 1555, Front Royal, VA 22630.
  6. A non-refundable registration/sponsor fee of $50.00 is required for each contestant. Sponsors may be parents, relatives, businesses, etc. Entry fee shall be paid by cash, money order, check, or through the Warren County Fair website. Checks should be made out to Warren County Fair.
  7. Contestants may participate in an optional Photogenic Competition. Each entry will have a fee of $10.00. Entries must be received by registration cut-off.
  8. Registration must be submitted by Tuesday, July 23, 2024, at 8:00 p.m. for Tiny, Little, and Preteen Categories. The cutoff for Junior Miss and Ms. will be Wednesday, July 24th at 6:30 p.m.
  9. Practice will be held at the Warren County Fairgrounds. During practice the stage format, time slots, and additional information will be reviewed. Junior Miss contestants will be required to participate in a onstage opening number with the Miss Division. 2 practices will be held to have the opportunity to learn the opening number dance. Only 1 practice is mandatory but 2 is recommended. See dates below.
  10. Contestant line-up in each age division will be determined by the order applications are received by the director. The first application received will be the last contestant in the line-up.
  11. The winners of each group will be expected to attend the Warren County Fair and serve as a representative during Fair Week, at local parades, and various other community events as communicated by the Warren County Fair Pageant Committee. Winners and their parent/guardian must review and sign the provided Titleholder Contracts. Each division winner is expected to complete a required minimum of 20 hours of community service.
  12. Winners may compete in other local pageants and contestants may hold other titles if they do not conflict with the responsibilities of this title.
  13. Contestants may compete for a title they have previously held, if it has been a year since passing the crown to compete in the same division. There is no waiting period if competing in a different age group.
  14. Poor sportsmanship will not be tolerated. All contestants and their family/guests must always conduct themselves in a proper manner. Any display of unsportsmanlike conduct will result in immediate disqualification of the contestant and removal of the individuals from the property. Additionally, any disqualified contestants will be unable to participate in any pageants held by the Warren County Fair for a period of at least three years.
  15. Awards will be presented for each age group for a People’s Choice Competition, Photogenic, Congeniality, 1st-4th Runners Up, and Winner.
  16. All rules, regulations, awards, schedules, and information pertaining to the pageant are subject to change at the discretion of the Warren County Fair Pageant Committee and the Warren County Fair Association Board, if necessary.
