Marshall Tucker Band
"Fire on the Mountain"
Led by founding member and frontman Doug Gray, The Marshall Tucker Band has been a driving force in Southern rock since forming in Spartanburg, South Carolina in 1972. What began as a hungry six-piece with a unique blend of rock, country, jazz, and blues quickly evolved into one of the genre’s most influential bands. With more than 20 studio albums, numerous live releases, and multi-platinum sales, MTB built a catalog filled with classics like “Heard It in a Love Song,” “Can’t You See,” “Fire on the Mountain,” “Long Hard Ride,” and “Ramblin’.” Their signature sound, first introduced to the world on their 1973 self-titled debut helped define progressive Southern rock and continues to resonate across generations.
The Marshall Tucker Band remains a powerhouse on stage, carrying forward a legacy that has inspired artists from Charlie Daniels to Johnny Van Zant and Ed Roland. Today’s lineup, featuring B.B. Borden, Ryan Ware, Marcus James Henderson, Chris Hicks, and Rick Willis alongside Gray, continues to deliver the timeless music fans know and love. Decades of touring, triumphs, and perseverance have only strengthened their bond with audiences, and Gray shows no signs of slowing down. As true road warriors, The Marshall Tucker Band keeps rolling, proving that their music and their ride is far from over.
